The only way to powder coat checker plate properly is to acid dip it before powder coating, because it is impossible to sand to give the powder coating something to stick to because of the raised tread.

We have invested in acid tanks and ALL checker plate is dipped before powder coating. 

We  have been manufacturing to OE spec for over 12 years with no issues.
